Regular purchases. Moist, nutty and sweet flavour. I cannot stop snacking on them.

The peanuts arrived plump, shiny and fresh … no signs of desiccation or deterioration … tasty too.

The overall packaging of these peanuts was extremely efficient and cleanly packaged, althoughI would have like to have seen a reduction in plastic packaging used, but to be fair the plastic bagging pouch did hold sturdy and extremely assuring, that not a single peanut would escape! However I did find it very difficult to close/retain freshness within the peanut with the use of this plastic packaging. As a result, I had to transfer the peanuts into a large enough peanut butter tub that I had; (I always keep these spare and ensure to clean them out well for reuse), to keep freshness and be assured that the peanuts would hold their skins and structure.Price paid for these bulk of peanuts, was quite pricey for the type of nut in particular.The price is similar to what you would pay for a more expensive type of nut; almonds, to be specific.Therefor I had to drop two stars for this reason.I wanted raw peanuts, and that is what I had recived, the red skin was a great addition, as most have this outer skin removed, but this is really a great antioxidant, and adds an additional crunch once the peanuts have been roasted for a little while. I roasted my peanuts by using my home grill, just for a few minutes, making sure to shake the grill tray to ensure all of the peanut is evenly roasted, until a light golden brown is achieved. The downside to this cooking/method is that the peanuts can burn very easily with the skin structure on, so a good eye needs to be kept on them!

I have bought several kinds of the red skinned peanuts over the years and these are the best by far. I was quite suprised by this as they were on the cheaper side and the advert wasn't flashy. The bag they came in was just plain-no label or anything and not resealable. Though for the price I understand why. It's quite a tough bag and I just use a clip seal to keep them fresh. The peanuts themselves are of a really good texture: not soft and not hard, just right. Fresh! I have eyeballed them and they all seem perfect, unlike some where you find black or discoloured bits of skin. I have become increasingly paranoid about aflatoxin of late as I do consume lots of nuts and seeds as my major protein source, so quality is a must for me. I thought I would give these a try and take a hit if they wern't any good and move on. But these are top quality. Maybe I was lucky or maybe they just have really good quality control. I hope it is the latter as I will be buying again. Highly recomended!
