Measures distance accurately at a low cost, good stuff

These sensors are cheap and a little spotty at times but work fine for my purposes (distances < 30cm). I don't need a very high reading frequency so I've found that averaging a few readings helps cut down on some of the more erratic measurements.Setup was fairly easy, but for what it's worth, I'm using this on an Arduino Uno R3 with MATLAB as my interface (not Arduino IDE) so that may have helped.I don't totally understand the bent acrylic mounts for these as some of the components interfere with the acrylic panel and there's no way to fasten it without drilling out part of the acrylic. I'd recommend finding your own mounting method. The cables are a nice inclusion if you don't have any, but they're not very long so you may need separate wiring if your board is more than a few inches from where this sensor mounts.

I use one of these to monitor my water softener salt tank. I programmed it with home assistant to let me know when my tank is getting near empty so I don’t run out of salt.

The circuit I made didn’t work with either one but I’ll continue playing with it and update the review if i can get them work

My son used this for a class, had a ton of items and duplicates of everything incase something fried.

I had a project and these two modules came handy.
