Exactly the right color
I've been searching for a while for a good color to treat the gray in the front of my hairline. I don't want permanent dye; I've never dyed my hair. I found that, if left untreated, the color of my gray hair was too shiny and silvery. I don't want to eliminate the gray because I deserve a few gray hairs at my age, and the effect of black dyed hair around my face is very harsh. This makes what I would call a dark gray or a light black, and just right for my very dark brown hair. The result indicates some gray hair but it doesn't shout out that it was dyed. it doesn't drip when applied, and doesn't make any kind of mess at all. I recommend gloves, however. Since my hair is very resistant, I left it in about three hours, which was very good. It lathers when you rinse it out, and hair is soft and smooth.

Sext was not worth it
I bought three jars for my long hair of the tint “Sext”. The color looked great in the jar, product smells amazing. I used two and a half jars to cover my hair. I had bleached it to a mostly white blond with a little yellow in the roots. The roots were more red, which I was expecting and the color looked nice after the first wash. After the second wash, I started seeing green. I’m fixing this with Keracolor rose gold conditioner but this was such a waste of money. I knew as a tint it wouldn’t last long but I’m shocked that it started turning green. I’ve never had a color turn like that before and I’ve been bleaching my hair and dying it for the past 15 years. Normally purples fade to pink when I’ve dyed them but this one faded to a gray-green and so fast. I washed it a third time to get some of the color out and I’m shocked at how it’s fading. Hopefully someone else has a better experience. I don’t mind if the colors fades but not if it fades to such a bad color. I would try pink but the price makes it not worth it since it will rinse out by the second wash.

It's a Tint
This is a tint, so understand that it's not supposed to color your hair for a long period of time. It's not going to be a deep color. It's really only going to work well on platinum hair, otherwise some colors will look weird or not even show up at all. I suggest using a semi permanent dye if you want deep long lasting color. To make sure it does not come out patchy, use it on washed, unconditioned, dry hair, and make sure to saturate well by combing it through. Leave it in for at least 30 mins, but I leave it in for up to 4 hours. I use tints because they don't stain my hair, and I can change the color often without bleach washing. If I don't like the color, it washes out quickly. The scent is strong and may be unpleasant to some, so make sure to rinse it out well.

This one color “sext” is off-do a strand test
I will start by saying I have tried 4 other lime crime colors in the past few months and they are generally fantastic , and they have always shown up very close to the colors on the box. I was very excited for this color, I didn’t think I needed a strand test as my hair was a level 9/10 and in ok condition . I did a split dye with “mochi” on the other part of my head. “Sext” is a smokier pink on the box, but it turned mostly light patchy brown with a hint of red on my hair. It was on for 3 hours, just like the mochi side at the same time. The mochi side looks awesome. I am very unhappy with the “sext” color, it looks terrible in real life ( not sure the pic captures it) . I now have a brownish and purple split dye instead of the pink and purple and it is gross looking. Still trying to figure out the best way to fix it, either a gentle color remover or maybe putting a brighter pink over it. Learn from my mistake, do a strand test or at least a swatch to see how the “smokier” colors come out for you. I am very disappointed and will be looking into other brands of dye for my next look.***update** did some vitamin c treatments (my usually pretty effective way to remove semi/demi permanent colors) and they took all the remaining pink out and now I am left with a horrid green mud color. Not the kind of color you can leave the house with, I’m going to have to try to fix it again ASAP. I guess it has strong green or blue mixed in there as an undertone. I didn’t have problems with removing other colors from this line. I would strongly suggest not using the color “sext” , or if you risk it please do a strand test for the love of all that is holy! Off to find a new color that may cover the current “swamp” situation.

Genie = Great, Bunny = nothing
I tried the Genie color first. Which is a deep purple. My hair is nearly all silver, and I left it in my hair for three hours. It was darker and more nylon looking than I wanted, it looked like a wig, but it was a fantastic, intense color. Over the next couple shampoos, it faded to a lovely, soft purple and now as you can see in the photo it’s a lovely lavender. Then I tried Bunny, which is depicted as a kind of intense baby pink. Sadly, it did not cover any of my silver, it’s as though I didn’t use any hair color at all, and I left it in for 3 1/2 hours! So if you want an intense purple go with Genie. But don’t waste your money on the Bunny color.I’m now going to try the Chocolate Cherry which looks like an intense dark pink. And see if that’ll give me a nice base at my roots and maybe deepen the lavender.Stay tuned I’ll update my review…
