It works exactly as described. the dome is made of a durable outdoor plastic that you would expect, but it does a very good job or actually diffusing light evenly. The pole seems adequately sturdy. and the base is heavy enough to keep it stable while remaining light enough to scooch around and ajust it.

I'm having alot of fun reading on my porch after dark these days. This lamp is awesome! It's beautiful and very well made. So glad I bought it.👍

This lamp is so cool. It is heavyweight and the shade is a durable, hard plastic but does not look cheap. I bought this for my kids bathroom but I love it so much that I’m trying to figure out more spaces to put more. I haven’t used it outside but I’m sure it would hold up really well. And it came with a lightbulb that is the best true daylight I’ve come across. I hope I will be able to purchase the same bulb when the time comes.

Like - sturdiness and brightness of bulb. Stands up well in gusts on our balcony.Suggestion: Improve directions especially re: what to do about the thin plastic pieces in the tubes before you screw them together to assemble the pole.
