4th time was not the charm.
about 2 years ago I purchased 3 of these (zwave 910 smartcode) for my home and garage. I had specifically gotten this model because it was listed as a lock that would work with RING. locks were first priority, but configuring and activating the ring alarm and cameras were not... it was about three months later when I finally got to activating the alarm and connecting everything and all three of the locks I bought would not connect - followed instructions, even took them off the door and put them within 6 inches of my Ring Alarm base station \ hub - still no Bueno.Configured the main code and a secondary code, but I really wanted to be able to manage these from the alarm system as well as arm \ disarm ring when locking \ unlocking the door.Figured it was a good time to get the Zwave PLUS versionslightly updated look inside, slightly different color, but all in all the same product.Same exact problem - Ring wouldn't detect it from 12 feet away, ring couldn't detect it from less than 12 INCHES away - brand new and out of the box so it's not like it's "already tied to another system" Just another "dumb" touchpad lock. While I do love the touchpad and the smart key features, I didn't pay 150+ just to collect "Dumb locks" - so this is getting returned.

I love this smart deadbolt – works with smart things
I love this smart deadbolt – works with smart things.I bought this deadbolt because my wife kept having trouble with the key in our old deadbolt. She had a jiggle her keys too much and was annoyed. Instead of buying just a regular deadbolt with a new set of keys, I decided to get one with the keypad that synced with our smart things hub.Now my kids, wife and cleaning person all have their own codes. You can even program the deadbolt to lock after someone leaves the home automatically. It locks itself after 30 seconds.I link this to my SmartThings hub effortlessly and set up the routine so that when my wife arrives at home left door unlocks for her automatically. The motor is kind of loud so I can always tell when she arrives. I also set up another routine and smart things to turn off my few lights and lock the deadbolt just in case when the kids left it unlocked diring the day.

Electrical fault brand new out of the box
I have two of these locks and they are temperamental. One of them is working OK so far- it paired with my SmartThings hub just fine and operates as expected. The other one has some kind of electrical fault and the battery remaining always shows 0% even though I have replaced the batteries three times. These problems started when brand new out of the box. I regret not returning the defective item to Amazon within the return window. Now I am stuck with a Kwikset warranty claim and frankly I'm not sure if I will bother. I've not made a warranty claim with them previously and I suspect it will be a PITA. My time is too valuable to waste on this product.

Best you can buy!
I have these on all my doors and they sync with my Samsung Smartthings hub like a piece of cake. Never had an issue with the mechanics and function of the lock. I just popped in my cylinders from the existing Kwikset locks that were already installed so I have like keyed locks all the time. Not that I ever really have to use a key anymore. I don't even have one on my key ring since I can access different doors in the home if one fails.

Adds to level of security even lock/unlock from your phone
Our safe neighborhood is having more reports of creepy people in the alley ways. Used this on the backdoor to replace the deadbolt. Install was straight forward. We know we can lock the door even without keys and feel safe if we go out the back yard and the fence gate is unlocked. The other day I set a temporary code for a contractor that was great, but now my two areas to improve.1) You cannot delete a code. Now the contractor has gone I have to create another number. Come on, work out a way to delete a code. Why can't 0000 be the delete code?1a) You cannot duplicate the same code in another position.2) The cover has 2 tedious screws to hold the cover in place. This cover protects the programming interface and the batteries. I just use one and hardly screw it in, just enough to stop it being removed by someone else.I already have the Wink hub, so it's neat to be able to check the status of the lock from my phone, see basic activity and even lock or unlock it from the phone. We don't use the auto lock feature and I thought if pin3 was left it was screech out a beep every time the lock is activated, but it appears it is just for programming codes.Notice I haven't mentioned keys? Apart from using while installing I hope we never need them!

Good basic 'connected lock'
This is a basic but effective lock. It doesn't have a standalone app, at least not that I'm aware of. I've paired it with my Wink Hub 2 and while it's not lightning quick, it's good.My complaint is that there is no means to provide temporary pin codes for guests - you have to open the lock case from the inside to configure a new pin code. Because of that, I put it on my garage door entry and only the family uses it.For a front door I have a lock that allows me to give out 'e-keys' and includes more automation integration.

fast to install, can be installed with interior part only, reliable, interior plastic scratches easily
I wanted a smart lock that wasn't bulky.I tried other locks (e.g. August), which installs on the interior but it sticks out a few inches. However, this lock has a much shallower interior profile, thought the design isn't as modern. The interior cover is plastic and developed scratches where the lock knob moves within just a few days.Connectivity to my Wink Hub was fairly easy and the connection has been both solid and reliable.I installed the interior part only and DID NOT install the keypad. It worked just fine without the keypad. This is a huge plus because I liked the look of the exterior and did not want the keypad functionality; I was just interested in the remote control capability.

One of the few Satin Chrome Locks
This lock set is used on the lower back door. Because it is 40 feet from the alarm panel the WiFi connection was sporadic until l added an extender. Now it works well and locks/unlooks the door faster than the Weiser one upstairs.

2 month lifespan
The deadbolt is already no longer working and it has only been two months. I may have to replace the door but I will call the manufacturer to see if there is anything they can do to help.
