Had a little difficulty navigating the app but I see how this would be good for someone with a lot of land/space.

This PetSafe Guardian GPS Dog Fence with the collar is definitely a great product. The app is easy to download and use. You are able to use it without a monthly subscription which is a great value. You can set it up for any shape yard and the manual gives you directions to set it up. It is great to know my dog is safe while playing outside by herself. If she goes past the boundary I set up, I will receive an alert. The collar has a great battery life and is easy to charge. It fits my dog comfortably and is easy to adjust. I would recommend this product to anyone with a large yard.

To reiterate - MOST other reviews - including those on the Petsafe website are paid reviews. This one is not, and is a real life review of this product.We received it and immediately set up the boundaries. That was easy. We did notice that our dog would get false boundary alerts around large metal objects (such as a vehicle). We thought it was going to work out well for us.Then precisely 24 hours later we started having problems. The main unit disconnected from our WIFI, rendering the collar useless. Every other wifi enabled device in the house was working fine. I reconnected it to our wifi, scratching my head as to why it randomly forgot our wifi settings. Once that was completed the collar just continuously flashes yellow, indicating it is disconnected from the main unit. This system is not ready for prime time - it’s a prototype at best. Keep looking. Already set up my Amazon return. We will likely get the halo system.

The media could not be loaded. Wow, it is so simple to use I have had no issues understanding anything since the collars instructions are very clear and detailed they include 4 papers you can use to learn all about the collar and if your going to be needing support they have that too which is awesome, my dog is loving it and it for sure works as intended feels soft and durable too, I have noticed that the battery life is long enough and it’s easy to charge, to be honest I will be getting more products from Petsafe because what they offer is truly amazing it’s so worth it for the price love it!

The collar is sturdy and charges without any hassle. Assembling the antenna base is straightforward. The box includes two USB wall adapters, a brief 8 page training booklet, and a QR code to access the app. Keep in mind, the app is essential—without it, the system won’t function. That makes it a poor choice for rural areas without strong Wi-Fi or for phones that don’t support the app. The app itself is clunky, frequently glitches, and doesn’t reliably sync with the base. Because of that, I can’t trust the fence to function consistently, and the GPS tracking is hit-or-miss.For me, this was just far too expensive to be so unreliable.

...that's only IF I can get it to connect to the GPS, which is dang near impossible, even in an open field with no tree cover. I wanted this to work - I NEEDED this to work. I should probably give it an even lower rating but, like I said, when it works it works great. I wouldn't personally recommend until they fix the GPS issue.

We really wanted to try this fence because of its versatility. The device itself was very easy to charge and to set up. The connection to the app and wifi were simple. Still, it did take some tweaking to make it so there weren't as many false alerts. A wifi extender also really helped to make sure the collar stayed online. Our medium sized dog has adjusted really well and has already become better familiar with his boundaries. I liked that the collar is so flexible, allowing the band to be adjusted as needed.
