Capacity Comparable to Genuine OEM Battery (works with new firmware too!)
TL;DR: This battery is recognized by the camera without issues. The capacity is nearly indistinguishable from the battery that came with my D3200 (see tests below). I highly recommend it!IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH YOUR CAMERA SAYING IT'S NON-GENUINE:Try downgrading your firmware. Oftentimes, a quick google can yield some good results. I was able to downgrade to 1.03 with the files I found, but it wasn't necessary to get the battery to work with my D3200. Apparently one of the updates changed how the battery meter worked, and Nikon said that the update 'accidentally' made 3rd party batteries not work in some cases.Anyways, on to the reviewINITIAL IMPRESSIONS:This was tested out of the box, before charging, and my Nikon D3200 with Firmware version 1.04 (currently the most up-to-date version for the D3200) recognized it with not noticeable problems. It registered as having full charge, and it seemed to work just fine.UPDATE: 1/10/2016Further testing was done on the actual capacity of this battery. It's by no means the claimed 1600mAh, but it is very very close to the brand new 1030mAh battery that comes with the camera (my camera was new, hence why the battery was new as well). The testing was done by draining the battery as fast as possible by turning the screen brightness all the way up (+3), and recording a 1080p 30fps video at ISO 12,800. Obviously, it lasted longer than the camera's limit of 20 minutes, so I had to start up a new recording every 20 minutes in order to have near continuous recording. With the OEM battery, the camera actually overheated after 1h 17min and closed the shutter, after which I deleted the videos I had recorded. After that, the camera displayed "shutter release disabled. recharge battery." While testing this 3rd-party battery, the camera overheated after 1h 13m, but could record for an additional 6 minutes after it cooled off and I deleted the videos.OVERALL RESULTS: 1 hour 21 min. for the OEM battery, and 1 hour 22 min. for this 3rd-party battery. Pretty impressive!PHOTOGRAPHIC PERFORMANCE: Very good. I was shooting for a while one day, and after roughly 575 RAW+JPG photos taken with the internal flash at 1/8 power, the battery read low, but I could still take pictures. I was using a film lens on the camera with macro extension tubes, so there was no power draw from the lens (AF motors, etc.). This was done over the course of 1.5 hours or so, and the camera was rarely switched off during that time. The screen was at -2 brightness. I don't know how the OEM battery compares, as I didn't test it this way, but I would imagine that it would perform similarly. The data speaks for itself; this battery has great capacity, and is well worth the price. Now I just need to see how well it lasts in the long-term.UPDATE 5/02/2016Still works fine, I ordered a third one.I will update this review with information as I use it for the next while. Currently rating it 5 stars because it works as good as the OEM battery. If any issues arise, I will post them here.

Great Price and Value! Great for Extra Juice!
I bought this battery just over a week ago as a back-up for my Nikon D3300 and am very happy with my purchase! I have found that there is no reason to buy the Nikon brand version of this same battery (EN-EL14) for upwards of $40, when you can buy it from a third-party for almost a quarter of the price! This DSTE battery for the D3300 works like a charm and even charges in the Nikon certified battery charger, it's great to have for long trips away from outlets and gives you the same amount of battery life, if not a bit more than the Nikon battery! If you have a Nikon D3300 DSLR camera, I would definitely] recommend buying this battery or batteries as a backup, you'll save $$ and be happy you did!

Great batteries. Correct specifications.
These batteries work great. Better than the OEM batteries! Most batteries you buy from other resellers will not live up to the markings on them. These ones were rated at 1600 mAh. Claiming more battery life than the stock ones. Which, for these ones in particular, is true. I was able to notice a substantial difference in on time with the new batteries. I estimate that I was able to get at least an extra 30-45 minutes of use out of my camera with this battery. I highly recommend these as a good alternative to OEM batteries with excellent value for anyone with a camera compatible with these. I may just buy a few more.

Not a bad backup
I got this battery because I needed a backup to OEM one I had for my Nikon. The battery charges up fine & works perfectly with the camera. The only thing is the battery life isn't as long as the OEM (lot older by the way). If you don't mind knowing the battery won't last as long, definitely get it. Otherwise buy the OEM version - it'll be about twice as much but when you have to have dependability when shooting, it'll be worth it.

Does what it says it will do
I'm not a pro photographer, but I do use a Nikon D3400 on a regular basis. I have used two of these as backups to my factory battery, and have found them to work quite well and without issues. I have not compared the length of charge between it and the Nikon, but I have been able to take hundreds of photos with the replacement at special events, and still had plenty of life left in it. BTW, I've had two replacements only because I put the first through the washing machine in my shirt pocket. Didn't check to see if it would still work; they're cheap enough that I just tossed it and bought another that worked just as well.

Battery dies quickly.
The battery life is AWFUL. Mine lasted two hours with light use and it died.

I guess it was my turn 😑. I won't give up though.
In the past 4yrs I have bought 4 nikon cameras (2 went to my kids, they absolutely love them). I have purchased DSTE batteries for all of them and to this day they still perform flawlessly🤘.I guess it was my turn for a flawed one 😑. I received the battery and gave it a full charge, worked great up to 250 shots then my red bar indicated low battery. I really wanted to believe this was a fluke so I charged the battery but for whatever reason the battery now won't except a full charge. I still only get 200+ shots.I get a whole lot more (600+ shots/battery) out of each of the 6 DTSE's batteries I've purchased for the other Nikons and there 2 to 3yrs old.Because I have had such good luck with DSTE batteries I really don't want to give up on them.Maybe I will have just as good luck with company customer service as I did with there batteries.I will update the outcome., peace Brian

This is the one. Took me a long time to find it.
This is the best one I've used and I've tried many, even big famous brands and they were all beat by far by this one. I've been using this one for over a year in my Nikon D3300. I got another one after a few months seeing that the first one was so good, I may get a third. Now I just hope the camera itself lasts for a while longer, it's got thousands on the shot counter.
