Not bad actually
I was sceptical when I came across this but as I watched I actually got really invested in the plot. it's not over complicated and the ending was a good cliff hanger so I'm glad there's a season 2 being commissioned. The series really focuses on Mills early life starting off with how he became involved in the darker side of the government secret service and the plot is driven forward with Mill's own personal demon's he must face and over come. I don't really want to give anything away because it really would ruin the viewing. you can tell the budget isn't massive for this series but it does well with what it has. It's not going to stimulate your brain cell's any time soon but it's not boring either. It's a good show you can switch your brain off to.

Enjoyable suspense filled first season.
I enjoyed this season, the episodes are mostly stand alone but there is a thread of suspense running through culminating with the last episode. the acting was good and its a quality production. looking forward to the next season.

RUN-OF-THE-MILL ACTION FARE
Clive Standen stars as ultra-macho war veteran Bryan Mills, latest recruit to a CIA department rooting out America's enemies. Colleagues worry about him. His maverick activities could place them all in jeopardy, he unpredictable after the violent death of his sister. Will he learn to obey orders and work as one of a team, or hamper investigations because of recklessness?Close attention is required for the ten episodes abounding with moles, bugs, double agents, twists and turns not confined to car chases. Mexican cartel boss Mejia proves a worthy adversary - he the one who killed Bryan's sister and clearly overdue for come-uppance. Jennifer Beals impresses as Bryan's boss. The growing relationship between Bryan and the team comes over well, the final episodes quite exciting.Although watchable enough, there is little to make the show extra special. So much that occurs is seen so often elsewhere, including what has now become a cliche - major villains proving to be high members of the Establishment. No bonus features. An extended second season, it the last.

Worth a Watch
Watched three episodes and it's decent. Each Episode is a contained story. Not as intense as the movies with the same title.I do hope it gets a little better.

Worth the time spent watching this Action TV series.
Decent TV action series based on the original film. Each episode is separate, however there is a theme and story line that runs through the whole of series 1. Decent character development, decent action scenes and better than usual acting from a pretty decent cast, of whom you should recognize quite a few.Well worth watching, not sure of repeated viewing.Wouldn't mind a second series if they could keep the standard up.

Love the Taken movies? You'll love this!
Wow!Let's be honest, if you like the movies then chances are you will be happy to give this one a go. That's what I did and now I'm hooked!Have binge watched the dates so far and just love it. The fact that this series is a prequel to the movies is actually quite a unique way of creating a TV show. The characters are really well played and you quickly fall in love with the story.Give this one a go, I'm pretty sure you will enjoy it thoroughly!

There is no continuity in story between episodes so basically each episode is a new story where main character is the pivot in terms of skills and all and does something to make the mission successful. After few episodes you'll lose interest.

Story is pretty weak; he has a bit of a weird love thing for his sister which feels a bit OTT and uncomfortable. Some fairly cool action scenes make it watchable. A bit like a Statham-esque film, but to a lower degree. Watchable, but not binge-watchable.
