Fabulous aroma and wonderful tasting buckwheat honey!!! This is my second jar. First jar smelled awesome but received lid broken messy bubble wrap because it was shipped by Amazon in a bubble wrap insulated plastic envelope and jar wrapped in bubble wrap. Well only an idiot would package a honey glass jar this way and only a UPS idiot delivery man would drop bag on my concrete front porch so automatic broken jar lid. I was in kitchen by window so I heard the drop & crack. I threw away jar I was not going to risk eating splitter glass. I complained to both UPS and Amazon about packaging and delivery. Amazon gave me another jar of my choosing (because of complaint Amish Buckwheat Honey was temporairly unavailable) from Canadian company the BeeKeeper's Naturals label reads raw honey and it may be raw but it is filtered tastes super sweet like added sugar and maple syrup, which I reacted to immediately. Filtering honey removes the digestible enzymes. I am borderline diabetic and dont take medication. Finances allowing I eat mostly wholesome healthy organic foods and use paleo doctrine with exception of sprouted grains and food fermentation to keep sugar in check. About 4 years ago watching Dr Oz, he recommended Buckwheat Honey on celery for acid reflux cough so I bought a jar by Tree of Life from a local health food store who now tells people I'll order item for you but when going back they say hasn't come in but can order it which means to me I best order myself. Second jar was wrapped same way with exception of paper bubble wrap envelope. So much hassel but finally I found and received wonderfully delicious real raw buckwheat honey unfiltered and unheated. So happy with this wonderful fantastic honey! I contacted this vendor and informed them of the packing and delivery problems, the owner was so nice which said they have argued with amazon regarding their bad packing. I highly recommended this Amish Country Buckwheat Honey and vendor. This is my first time rating any product. I give this product five stars, higher than that actually.

I support local and organic farming practices, I also support bees, bee keepers and honey production. I like trying different brands / sourced foods and this honey is excellent. Only feedback I have is to provide a larger glass (this was glass) - container with a WIDE mouth (am willing to pay more for it and more product) so we can easily get into the glass container to stir it up / heat as needed to liquefy it. Caution is advised when trying to work with solid honey and a spoon - if you leverage the spoon to the lip of the glass, it will crack/shatter and get glass shards everywhere. Lead free glass with wide mouth = best. Thanks much for providing this excellent honey :) Buckwheat is the best.

I got 2 bottles of this or Very similar to this for same price.The honey is top notch though,I love that it is not a liquid form which to me means it really hasnt been heated at all.I might not get this again though because there is another one that is 2.2 pounds for $19.99 but its not quite as good as this and its cap doesnt stay shut well like this one.

I guess earlier on, I had read the reviews for buckwheat honey and was discouraged because most comments were about the taste being overpowering. Gets me thinking of aged cheese. Ok now I'm hungry. Like Homer would say, "Mmm aaged cheeeese. Then again, Homer would eat anything. Laugh out loud!!

It wasn’t good. Cover was cracked and top seal was open. Made a miss and product leaked out all over. Very messy and very sticky. To bad to even mail back. I was very disappointed ☹️. Usually everything is ok but that was just awful. Nancy Galipeault

I bought it about 2 years ago, it was excellent. So I purchased this again, the honey this time was totally different and almost unpalatable, certainly not the quality of before. I would have returned it but did not want to return open food product.

The flavor of Buckwheat Honey and being 'raw' is why I bought this honey. After receiving it, I no longer believe the description. The flavor is spot on, but the honey is extremely clear and thin like syrup. No bits of pollen, or wax, or anything. I own Pure Raw Honey and know what it looks like and the texture of it. There is nothing about this Buckwheat honey to prove the description by the seller.

This is my second time ordering this particular honey. It's dark, very thick, and has a rich, delicious flavor. I see the same size honey on the amishhoney website for $8.99, but with shipping costs added, it may come out to about the same - not sure. A great honey.
