Strong, but somewhat brittle
I ordered these to make a series of tool holders in my shop (socket wrenches, hammers, etc.). These magnets are very powerful by themselves, but for some heavier tools, one magnet was not enough. However, super-gluing two magnets together (back to back) created an even more powerful magnet that worked better than a single magnet. As noted elsewhere, these can break. The magnets are so powerful that it can draw two magnets together with enough force to break them. This is a very thin magnet and two magnets smashing together is enough to shatter the metal, but if you follow the instructions included you can avoid this.I will definitely buy more of these, but when I do, I will buy a larger pack so that I can A) double them up where I need them and B) account for my clumsiness in breaking magnets

Very strong
The magnetics are very strong and it is easy to apply the sticky tape on first. The magnets can come off sometimes from the sticky area, but I’m able to put them back right on again. I’m using them both for holding up blinds on a metal door and lights under my microwave. It has been really helpful.

Neodymium magnets are fragile ~ at this thickness, very fragile.
What I like about these magnets ~• Black epoxy coating is perfect for my current application. The typical, raw, bright silver finish would not have worked for my project.• As expected, these magnets are very strong for their size. Strong enough to destroy themselves if care is not taken while handling them. (we are only human ~ ordering more than the exact number needed is wise: "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it").• The included adhesive strips are pre-cut to size, saving time. What I don't like ~• At this length with this thin dimension, the inherently fragile magnet material is VERY fragile. It's common for neodymium to snap when attracted to another magnet but these will snap if you are not careful enough on setting them to a metal surface. If a project allows for it, a thicker dimension will be less fragile and be easier to work with.• I had assumed that the foam adhesive was already mounted to the magnets in the stack but this is not the case. As depicted in the picture, the magnets come with a piece of plastic separating them from one another and the foam adhesive is separate and must be affixed by the user ~ Affixing the foam adhesive to the top magnet in the stack and then placing that magnet (vs separating from stack before applying) was the easiest way I could find to handle this step.

Strong but fragile
These magnets are very strong. But when I held one of these magnets over my “snake egg” magnet and allowed it to jump up to this magnet, it broke the magnet.I’m not removing stars for that, because they are thin, and I don’t know if this is standard fragility for any magnet this size. I have seen reviews for large magnets that have broken when dropped. Maybe they need to be handled with extreme caution.I will say that I found it interesting when I attempted to piece together the broken halves, they would no longer fit back together. They became immediate polar opposites as soon as they broke up…like a bitter divorce. They still cling to other magnets, but not the ends where they snapped.Knowing this bit of information, it makes sense that if the magnet has a flaw and begins to break, it will snap.I bought these to add to a magnet game my sister had. Instead of using a provided rope, we used a spare top to a plastic container and placed these pieces under the top to make the game more interesting. They were smaller than I expected, but I will say I had a chance to drag out my ruler and compare it with the dimensions on the description. It’s not like they gave erroneous dimensions in the description. So for what I paid, and the fragility of magnets in general, I have no reason to reduce stars based on my ignorance. Just be careful when you use them. If you drop them or let them snap to another magnet, there’s a great chance they will break. So be careful. One thing I did notice on these magnets is that one or two have pits or indentations in the edges. But again, the magnet did the job I intended, and I wasn’t entering them in a fashion show, so I won’t be removing stars.I mention these things so perhaps you’ll buy these with a bit more awareness than I had; and you will handle them with more care.Enjoy!

Perfect
I am a hobbyist in lockpicking/locksports. I tend to buy comprehensive sets of many makers. One of the issues i tend to have is when I bring my lockpick sets with me, the turning tools tend to move around. When i open the case, frequently, the tools will fall out of their respective pockets. Some tools are in heavy nylon cases that fit tools loosely. Some tools are in fine leather which tend to still be a bit loose. So I chose a set of magnets that fit the more snug pockets In Leather cases. These fit my cases perfectly. Whether it’s in my Covert Instruments Garrison case, the Southord Max M4000, Law Lock Tools Renegade Pro, or the Sparrows Monstrum XXL, I find they fit perfectly without adding any significant bulk.Just last night, my case fell off of the table, and the tools stayed put. I can even flip the case upside down without them falling onto the table or floor.Considering some of the turning tools come from the UK, Germany or other places where shipping costs are quite high, the last thing I want to do is pay $30-$40 just to replace one tool, if lost. These come in a secure case with Plastic inserts between them, making separation easy. No magnets were damaged in transit.I have several rare earth magnets, and they are super powerful for their size. They do tend to be more brittle than most other magnet compositions so be careful not to hit or drop them.

Super strong - super brittle
They are indeed VERY magnetic. But don’t let your guard down, they will snap back together and break instantly! Fortunately for me, I bought them to sew inside the canvas edging of a grill cover, so I still used the pieces and the cover works just fine. But heed the warning and take care!

Very powerful magnets
They are very powerful, so do be careful when prying them apart. They are also quite fragile and will break if dropped. That said, there are a lot of magnets in the pack, so the loss of one or two, due to my carelessness, wasn’t that big a deal.

Used on a shower door
Used on a shower door where the original magnetic strip has weakened. Previously tried plated magnets but they rust over time, going that these will fare better as the original strip was cited in something black. They are brittle, dropped one from waist height and snapped. Absolutely fine when they are in place.
