Bees coat the interior of the hive with propolis to maintain a sterile environment free from mold, mildew and also to cover all wholes Raw propolis, can be incorporated into a daily diet, and also an additive to make salves and soaps. We refuse to process our product to an always the same commercial year around look! Therefore! Due to a nature of our HONEY handling and a fact that our product is totally raw, the color as well as the texture of honey may vary.

Not much propolis?
I have used propolis honey for many years, but obtained from a local source. I tried the Amish Honey version when my original source dried up, but found it to be very different. My original source provided a very dark, molasses-like honey that was chock full of propolis. The Amish Honey version seems to contain only a little propolis in comparison, and it has an unpleasant odor. I do appreciate that the creamy texture keeps the propolis more evenly distributed, but I think I will try another supplier next time.

Terrible smell, it looks like it already expired
The smell is terrible which makes it completely inedible, due to the smell it doesn't look safe to eat either.. There is a quality control issue, as honey should not smell that way, an issue others reviewers are reporting as well.
