I absolutely adore this series! It's amazing and addictive. You'll find yourself absorbed in it. I loved this book! But... I really didn't like how they spent the entire book going after the talisman from Rumfuss just so Donor would give it away to save his mother and family. A whole story and all that work just lost! I also really hated how suddenly strong the conquerors were. And Devin! He was absolutely perfect for the spot . It all fits since he was so angry that the Lord Trunswick's son didn't summon a spirit animal at all, but a broke Shepard boy did. So of course he would go the lengths for revenge! The story fits.Meilin of course surprised me at the end when she decided to return to Zhong. It's very easy to see the relationship growing between her and Rollan (wink wink)Rollan is my absolute favourite character in the book. He is like the omega of the group, when everyone fights, trust him to make a joke and turn it around. I hated when the musician was punished for freeing Essix though.During the book, Abeke struggles to fit in. The other three believe she is a traitor which makes the book more dramatic. She struggles mentally and I love how strong her bond is with Uraza is. She is catlike and brave. Labels and Rollan are my favourite. Then she gets kidnapped by Devin. I love how she uses the knot messages to let the others know she's in trouble.Then after they get the talisman, Dawson, Devin's little kind brother, comes with a message saying if Conor gives Dawson the talisman, his family will live. So all of the book was for nothing

My 9yo loved the book and has read it several times. Great to see the joy in her.

I read this to my 9 year old each night before bedtime. We both loved it. It was action-packed and scary at times (for my 9 year old kd) but never too scary.

The length of time it took me to finish this is no indication of how I enjoyed the book. It is on the other hand an indication that I had way too many books going on at once and adding another job into the mix of my already busy life did not help me to continue to read all of the fun stories this past year.On the other hand, I did not enjoy this one nearly as much as I enjoyed the first. I am excited to see where the story is going and I think this story helped to progress that desire. I liked the amount of action this story had and I was excited by the progress of Finn. He seems like an awesome character and I cannot wait to see where it will take him.Those that love adventure and fantasy will most likely love this story.

this book was a wonderfully written sequel to spirit animals book #1 wild born. the choice of words was great and it around me to get my 3 hero slot in the spirit animals game so far it is my favorite book in the series. it has beautifully combined the adventure of Warriors, the magic of Harry Potter, and the realistic world (and weaponry) of the Percy Jackson and the heroes of Olympus series. I would recommend it to anyone under the age of 25. this book is pure awesome.

This book was by farthe best book l have read that has lots of animals. l usually don't go for animals, but this book had me CRYING for Meilin. Seriously. This book deserves 5 stars.[Edited to add: This review was written and submitted by my 9 year old daughter, without my help or, indeed, prior knowledge! Didn't know that was possible (better check the settings on her new Kindle Fire again!) but on the whole I'm impressed, and I'm leaving the review up as an example of a kid's honest reaction to the book.]

It is a very nice ebook with a lot of adventure and fun and also many facts about animals Excellent.

I purchased this book for my 9 year old son and this is what he had to say: He enjoyed it so much,not just because it made the game so much more clear to him, but because it was funny, suspenseful and difficult to put down to put down when it was time to stop. He is anxiously awaiting the release of the third book.

I am enjoying reading this series with my daughter. I'm not sure who likes it more, my daughter who I am reading two chapters a night to or myself - I'm currently ahead by one and a half books!
