Q: I am looking for a scraper (or bench knife) like this that is not made in china. what about this one?

Probably not. Thick blocks of chocolate require more substantial hardware. I'd score the chocolate with a knife and then use a sizeable hammer to break it along the cut.

Q: Can I use it for Caesar salad

Anny, I sure wish I knew what you're talking about. It's a scraper, Anny. You use it to clean a cutting board or as a shovel to pick up stuff you've chopped up....like diced onions et cetera. It's not a knife if that's what you're thinking. As for Caesar salad, I haven't got the foggiest idea what you'd use it for. As for scrapers, it's more expensive than some but it's very well made and will last a lifetime.
