Really like these, used to paint silicone dolls

I have recently started dabbling in watercolours (rather than my normal gouache), hence the reason that I bought these. However I foolishly encouraged my granddaughter to try watercolours and finished up giving her these (before I got to use them) and some posh watercolour paints and posh 300gsm watercolour pad! Judging by the results that she achieved (she won a competition with her first painting of her dog) they seem to be excellent brushes. I will buy myself some more, but this time I will keep it secret to prevent anybody else from commandeering them :-). This set includes pretty much every size and type of brush that you ever likely to need, including a “fan” and “mops”.

Great brushes for the money

This is a very comprehensive set of artist's brushes. There is a wide variety of shapes and sizes to suit all needs. I am not knowledgeable about these things but the brushes definitely are not just a random cheap and cheerful set. They are all numbered and I presume that the numbers relate to millimetre sizing, apart from two of them and, in some cases there are multiples of a single size - all with a different shaped brush head. The full range is: 2, 4, 6, 7(4), 8, 11(5), 14, 16(3), 20(2), ½" and 3/4". They are beautifully made with wooden handles and what appears to be white, synthetic fibres, held together with a metal fitting. The bristles are all coated with something that makes them hold their shape until you are ready to use and, like hairspray, it is easily fluffed out, leaving the brush ready to use. The brushes are packed neatly - being attached with elastic to card backing, all laid out next to each other so you can see clearly what you have - and they don't get knocked about in transit. This really is a brilliant kit for anyone who loves to create their own art - whether adult or child. There is no product page at time of review so I don't know what they will cost, but as this is an amazon basics product, I imagine they will be good value. I am really pleased with them and will be getting stuck into lots of fun art projects with my grandchildren. It will be a lovely way to introduce them to the kind of marks they can make with the different shapes, and how that can change the character and impact of their art.

These brushes are of a basic quality, but this is not a bad thing, because this set is aimed at beginners. Make sure that you wash them properly (or they won't last). Avoid water that is too hot, or you might find that you lose some bristles.I would recommend these for acrylics or watercolours, but not for oils because the brushes will not easily cope white spirits.These are really great to hold, they feel good in the hand and they are lightweight - also there is such a variety of brush shapes and sizes. The bristles don't fall out easily and each brush has a size marked on it so you can easily tell which is which and arrange them the way that you prefer.Ultimately the huge selling point of this kit is the vast range of brushes and how compactly you can store them.This is a wonderful set to buy for someone who is just starting out - it gets them all the versatility of such a wide range in one go. Highly recommended!

Amazing quality brushes, which come very well presented in a sturdy white box, which I'll be using for storing them for the time being. You get two layers of brushes, taking care of pretty much all your needs; there are some very fine ones ideal for painting models, which is what I'll be using them for.

these are the biggest waste of money in any art brush used once when cleaning all the brushes fell apart they left hair in the art work not even any good to dust small items with you will need another brush to clean up after

I’ve been using some basic brushes forever but wanted to get a 2” brush. I spotted this set that had the 2 along with a billion other brushes, figured it was a great deal pricewise. They are fantastic, hands down, fantastic. The bristles are incredibly soft, high quality. No bristles have fallen out of the brushes. The options of brush size are endless, I still haven’t used them all which is cool because it only means this set will last me a very long time. Highly recommend to all.

They are perfect for painting pretty pictures and good quality

Tiene gran variedad de pinceles para aquellos que inicien en la pintura. Si bien no son de una calidad profesional, dan muy buen servicio. En mi caso, sólo fue necesario adquirir por separado unos pinceles más pequeños para los detalles pero resultan muy buenos los que se incluyen.
