Pure Melissa Essential Oil (Melissa officinalis) Steam Distilled Natural Therapeutic Grade 30ml (1 oz)

Melissa is quite a high price oil so you want to be sure you are getting the proper quality if you are splashing out. This brand has a strong smell and the proper consistency at this price so all seems correct. Whether or not the oil has any of the general health benefits I have no idea, I find many of them do and besides when used in a diffuser they smell great which is uplifting. Considering that many drugs are made from plants I fully believe and have experienced positive effects. As for Melissa, there is actual medical research that it helps with cold sores and as any sufferer will tell you the quest to find something effective is as fruitless as finding something that helps with tinnitus, so I'm waiting for my next outbreak to test this. I will update my review later. As a general review of this product, a great addition to my selection and I will use it (sparingly) as a fresh aromatic whatever the outcome.Cold Sore Update;So I had an outbreak over Xmas and I made up a blend using Argan as a base, then an extreme high potency mix of oils, the largest percentage of which was Melissa. this was the first time I had tried an oil mixture on cold sores and I was astonished that it significantly supressed the severity of my outbreak, they have a very regular duration and severity and the duration of the attack was typical but the severity was not. I can't say it was down to the Melissa on its own because there were a dozen oils included that have antiviral properties but not only do I class this as a massive breakthrough for me but the same formula has also worked wonders on spots. I will not be changing a thing with the formula and Melissa is a major component.

Melissa Oil is also known as lemon balm and it has the most gorgeous fresh citrus lemon fragrance.2 of the main chemical elements of Melissa Oil are geranial and neral which have soothing properties and so are great for relaxation - because of this I often Add Melissa Oil to my diffuser along with lavender oil which is lovely relaxing and soothing before bed.Keeping with the relaxing theme its also beneficial to add to a carrier oil and massage into temple and shoulders to help destress and ease headaches.I love this oil and highly recommend this oil and this brand. I have several of their oils and they are all high quality

The 30ml bottle comes boxed with a plastic insert to make it into a standard dropper bottle (not the glass pipette as shown). This is a very high quality oil and it is very potent, it needs to be used sparingly. I used it in an aromatherapy oil diffuser and it produced a lovely, lemony, calming fragrance and, unlike other aromatherapy oils I have, I just needed a couple of drops for full effect. According to the bottle 1ml of oil constitutes 16 drops. My wife used 30ml of baby oil as a carrier and added about 10 drops to make a relaxing oil to apply before bed to help her sleep; it certainly fills the bedroom with a calming fragrance and we both have slept better. The oil is very economical and the 30ml bottle will last a long time, we like it.

MelissaCan't really fault this. Presentation is good. I buy lots of essential oils but I've never come across this company before. I'm currently trying a few of their oils and so far I'm happy with them.The scent is lovely and strong but not overpowering. It smells natural but concentrated. I grow Melissa in the garden and this is pretty close to the plant itself.

I like the fact that a dropper is included in the pack. The scent is very sharp and strong, it will combine well with other essential oils to make an oil personal to you. Good for using in oil diffusers combined with less astringent scents.

This essential oil feels and smells absolutely fantastic I mean I love it. Obviously you shouldn't have a lot for this by itself but in fact actually mixing it with other oils actually very beneficial and smells great as well and I guess he can be used for a form of medicine it makes me feel great and much better than I would do originally and there's nothing really negative I can have a say about this product because it makes me feel good about myself I feel like there's nothing really much else I can say about this part from the fact that it is an essential oil and it does do what it's meant to do it's very therapeutic!

This item arrived safe and well packaged.A beautiful essential oil. This is a very pure, high quality graded oil.I have been using this to mix with a carrier oil and really enjoyed the scents when doing so.This can be used anywhere on the body, rubbed into skin or hair etc. But it's particularly good for relaxation!I am certain it has a thousand other uses too!I highly recommend this product.

This is almost certainly not melissa essential oil. Colour and oil thickness is not right and smells like lemongrass and citronella. Pure Melissa oil would be much more expensive and have a different scent.Especially beware if you have a dog because citronella can be toxic for then.
