It was very easy to install the iPad Pro into the case and ...
Just got it and it compares favorably to the much more expensive Zagg and Logitech keyboard cases that I have used at work. It is much lighter than the Logitech Create. It has bigger and easier to type on keyboard than the Zagg. It was very easy to install the iPad Pro into the case and to connect the keyboard via Bluetooth. The keyboard works well for typing. The iPad and Keyboard fold into the case to make it easy to carry and to protect the iPad Pro against handling damage and even some drops to the floor. We will see how it performs over a longer time (Does the battery life turn out to be good after weeks of use? Does the case wear well?) and I will update the review if necessary.

Good Keyboard, Horrible Case
Not recommended. The lip around the iPad is so thick that you can't pull up air play, night shift or volume control from the bottom. It also makes it difficult to use the thumb print activate feature. The keyboard works fine but what you give up isn't worth what you gain even with the little band to secure the pen. There are others ways to do that and other cases that don't interfere with your device.Just adding that I have the newest version iPad Pro 12.9. Not sure if it made a difference but definitately need a different case now. this is frustrating.EDITING TO ADD: Contacted Alpatronix Customer Support today and they could not have been nicer or more understanding. They are willing to work with people regarding their products and acknowledge a customer's frustration. That says a lot. I am changing my rating from 3 to 4 stars based on the company alone. You don't find many like this out there.

After Much Searching I Have Found One of the Best
I just received this today and put it through several quick tests and inspections. So far everything has been working very well; however, I will update this review if anything changes in the long term. My only issue is that the build quality feels a little week, but it fits the price point. Price wasn't the biggest oncern for me when shopping around, and I normally don't write reviews (this was important to me because I've used many computer cases and tablet cases over the years, and it is hard to find the right one). There were several features that I was looking for, and this product had several additional features that I enjoy. First, the iPad Pro is a huge tablet. I really need the additional screen size to get maximum productivity out of my iPad. This mean I either needed a case that was light or I could remove the iPad easily. This case is by no means light. It is very heavy, but I knew any case with a keyboard was going to way a ton. I chose this case because it had a Velcro strap that holds the iPad into the case and allows for easy removal for times when I want to read with my iPad (I 'm more concerned with it being as light as possible rather than protected when I'm sitting and reading). It also feels like it will protect the iPad very well for when I'm commuting to my classes. There is an issue that others have also noted where the iPad home button and camera can sink below the bezel of the case when using the case like a laptop. This might have been avoidable if they put the flap that secures the case on the other side of the case. I think this can easily be fixed by gluing something a few cm thick and flexible to the flab to give it extra height when using it like a laptop. The keyboard is pretty nice. It doesn't feel like the most durable, but the keys have good travel and it's a pretty good typing experience so far. It also has a nicer layout than some of the other iPad keyboards (some keyboards would either get rid of one of the shift keys or shrink/move it). It is awesome that the keyboard is removable. It's strange that the keyboard is in its own slab of leather/carbard, but the detachability is nice. All the normal keyboard shortcuts work (cmd key to refresh page, type in URL, copy, paste, new tab), and it has some nice hot keys that allow you to adjust the screen brightness and volume etc.. It charges pretty quickly, andI will report back if it doesn't get the reported battery hour usage. It also barely uses any iPad battery. The pencil holder is also great. This is a nice feature that I did not plan for but it is nice to be able to carry around the Apple Pencil with everything. It seems secure and I'm not worried about it falling out. It's also nice that there is a flap that keeps the case closed using magnets. It feels like it will protect the IPad very well, and I have high hopes for it. Overall I'm glad I was able to find a complete case with a keyboard and easy access to the iPad to take it out without risking damaging the iPad. Hope it holds up well over time!Update: It has been a full day with this product and I've notice one or two very small things. The space bar does not work if you hit the very edge of it. It doesn't happen often since you usually don't press the very edge of the space bar (the key still seems to press down, it just doesn't make contact I guess). Another slight issue (probably because I just haven't figured it out yet) is that I can't figure out what to do with the flap that holds the case together if I want to use the case without moving the keyboard out towards me (it magnetically attaches in two places: close for storage and moves out onto the lip of the case where more magnets will hold it so you can move the screen at a better angle). The iPad is close to 90 degrees when you don't move out the keyboard and it sits on the groove on the keyboard rather than on the case when it is moved out (covers the power slider). Using it without moving the keyboard makes it more compact and have a smaller footprint on your lap. Otherwise the footprint of the case is quite long. I'm still pretty worried about the durability because it feels like the keyboard may not lay flat already since its in some sort of cardboard/leather sleeve. Right now I will leave my rating where it is, but.I may come back and update it again if anything new happens.I DID NOT receive any discounts to buy this product. This was my completely unbiased (full price) review.

Battery life Horrible!
Great Arsthetics but battery died during most important usage. Disappointment. Not only is the price very reaonable, but the case just looks elegant and makes you want to carry the iPad with you as a part of your day which will become very important as you utilize your device to its fullest extent. The keyboard is just perfect and reasonable and can be placed on your lap or kept in it's magnetic base. There is a holder for your pen which will come in handy. The bluetooth links very easily and you will start to use your iPad more. The only thing I wish a company would do is develop a keyboard layout creator that works for iPad, this seems to me to be thh most reasonable option and they touch up on all the major factors of having a keyboard including the battery life which is so far going really good. I alos like that it does not look like an Macbook having it look more like a notebook is safer and better.

Horrible
I purchased this item on August 30, 2017. Up to today's date it still will not pair or hold a charge. I'm using an iPad Pro. 12.9. Casing is nice. It holds the iPad very snug. Other than that it's just a regular iPad case and does only half of what is advertised. I will be calling Amazon customer service to arrange for return. I can't even get a link on how to return purchase, yet the seller says they have simple return process. Abosolutey not true.

The keys have a nice feel, like a regular keyboard
I bought this keyboard because my Zagg had broken and I thought it was going to be a month before I could get a replacement and I use by ipad all the time. At $29 for the Alpatronix I was not expecting much. I was wrong! The keys have a nice feel, like a regular keyboard. They are responsive and the letters/number appear instantly on the screen. I was used to the Zagg keyboard which opens and closes like a laptop and did not think I would like the propped open, one angle choice of this keyboard but I really do! The angle is just right. I fold the bottom edge under when lap typing and that give just the right slight lift for typing. The Zagg had keyboard lighting and this one does not but I never used the lighting option so I don't miss it. This keyboard is a bargain!
