Poetic Slimline Case for New Kindle Fire HDX 7 (2013) 7inch Tablet White (with Smart Cover Auto Sleep/Wake Feature) (3 Year Manufacturer Warranty from Poetic)

I am very pleased with this purchase. I was originally going to go with the otter box, since I tend to be rough with my devices, but I wanted a case that is sleek and slim to slip in my purse. When I first put my device into the case it appeared to open backwards. BUT, then I realized in order for the camera to be at the top when my kindle is landscape, the cover flap has to be where it is currently located so that when using the Flap as a stand, it (the camera) is in the correct position. The fact the cover flap is on the right should not be too big of an issue anyway since the Kindle Fire HEX self-orients. The look of the case itself is quite nice. I know it's not leather but it looks darn close. I love that the button holes are recessed. Makes the case look “one" with my device. The device itself snapped right into place when I first assembled the two. I tried wiggle it out- no luck. That is good. I don't have to worry about dropping it and my kindle flying out of the case.Cons:-Flap is on right, but as explained, can't logically be on the leftPros:+Price+nice to look at, sleek and slim+case fits device extremely well+buttons holes align perfectly with buttons and slope down gradually to the button or speaker itself+magnetic flaps work in various positions to support device for different uses

I've read enough mixed reviews on here that I was a bit worried to order this case for my 7" Fire HDX. I ended up ordering it anyway, due to the Origami's outrageous price. I am very impressed with this case. There are some nice feeling materials used here! Soft interior and screen cover, with a faux leather covering. The holes on the reverse are absolutely spot on, line up perfectly with the speakers and buttons. Cover fits tight around the machine, absolutely no gaps. Impressive. One thing, when you fold the case into a triangle to use as a stand, make sure to fold the case so the soft side is INSIDE the triangle. You can fold it so the gray side is out, but don't. You don't want your screen cover's soft side to be resting on various surfaces collecting dust and grits!As for the "putting it to sleep with the cover flipped back" I've never had that happen. I tried pressing on it and everything, maybe they had a different model, or quality control varies? I don't know. Mine looks great, works great, and I love it.

All I can say is WOW. I was looking for a compact case that protected my Kindle. I didn't want pockets or stylus loops or anything that added bulk. This item is perfect. I wish it was available in more colors and prints. I had to get white. So far, though, the white isn't showing dirt or signs of wear and tear. The buttons are indented. If you have long nails it makes it hard to power on, but that isn't an issue since opening the case automatically turns it on. The back is a hard shell, but not bulky at all. The case isn't loose and my Kindle doesn't fall out.

I've had three of these covers for my Kindle Fire HDX. They are light weight, have a nice feel and turn off the screen when you close the cover. For those reasons I like the product very much. Now the reason I've had three of them. The two small magnets that are built into the frame to hold the cover closed to turn off the screen, fall out after a while. The turning off the screen feature is gone. To be fair Poetic offers I believe a three year warranty but I've found in most cases getting a replacement for an inexpensive product is a real hassle and I just chose to order another one. So, even though I've bought three of them I probably wouldn't recommend this case to a friend.

I replaced my Kindle HD with its excellent Moko folding cover with an HDX and the Poetic case. No comparison with the Moko, but it's suitable for my application. Where the Moko had a really effective way to stand the HD in landscape position (plus a holder for a stylus), the Poetic feels flimsy and only offers a cover which forms a triangular support on the back side of the HDX. Works on a table, but not so much on my lap. Does have a very accurate fit, and when closed, a good feel.

I love this cover/case for my Kindle Fire HDX 7. I've gotten so many compliments on it, and several people have gone on to order their own. I think what really stands out is first the color; I chose white and the black contrasts along with the sleek design are very eye catching. The function is wonderful. For one, it doesn't need you to install your Kindle upside down, as most cases I've bought do. The magnet function is snug and holds well, and the various positions for reading, watching videos, or just holding in one hand are perfect. It is so lightweight that you don't suffer fatigue. Highly recommended for both function and beauty, as well as quick delivery and excellent customer service.

Very slim, sleep wake works really well and the magnetized cover stays shut. Will have to see how clean it will keep since white was the only color available. I like the fact that the entire tablet screen is clear for viewing, no borders from the cover to make the tablet seem smaller.

I like the cover and feel of it but don't be fooled by the pictures in the advertising! It shows the kindle in a vertical position and there is no way to do this! The folds do not bend in that direction! No mater what you do!!! Disappointed! It may be ok for certain times but I am also going to get the orgami one designed by Amazon so i can stand it up when I want to.
