Q: Will this work on a Raspberry Pi 4?

I am using this board with Raspberry Pi 4 and while it works with it, so far I could only use C language to program it - I am not aware of a Python library for this board.

Q: Would it be possible to hook this up to a pi zero w? also, would it be possible to just grab the audio data from hdmi with this board?

Yes,It can be used with pi zero w. But I don't know what you mean for 'grab the audio data from hdmi' , this item does not include the HDMI Interface .
